Hi friend,
Anxiety has excellent marketing.
It speaks loudly.
It offers endless reasons why something might go wrong.
It demands your attention.
Self-trust doesn't compete.
It's usually much quieter.
It's the tiny voice that says, "I think we're okay."
It's choosing not to send another text.
Not checking your phone every three minutes.
Not replaying the conversation for the hundredth time.
Not because you're certain everything will work out...
But because you've decided you'll handle whatever happens.
That's what self-trust really feels like.
Not certainty.
Capacity.
The belief that no matter what happens next, you'll find your way through it because you've done it before.
Every hard season you've survived has quietly been building evidence.
Evidence that you're more resilient than your fear wants you to believe.
So the next time anxiety starts shouting...
Instead of trying to silence it, see if you can listen for the quieter voice underneath.
It's still there.
It always has been.
A gentle prompt
The next time you notice yourself spiraling into "what ifs," pause for just a moment and ask yourself:
What would I do right now if I trusted myself?
You don't have to solve the entire problem.
Just take the next small step from that place instead of from fear.
Sometimes that's all self-trust looks like.
Before I go...
If no one has told you lately, I hope you'll remember this:
You don't have to have everything figured out to trust yourself.
You don't need certainty.
You don't need permission.
You don't even need confidence.
You only need the willingness to believe that whatever comes next, you'll meet it with the same strength that's carried you this far.
I'll see you next week,
Bex
