Hi Friend,
Sometimes your life changes so quickly that even you have trouble explaining it.
One day you're tolerating something.
Then suddenly, you're done.
You want a different job. A different city. A different relationship with your time. A different way of living entirely.
From the outside, it can look impulsive.
Even from the inside, it can feel that way.
Where did this come from?
But I don't think these changes are always as sudden as they appear.
Sometimes the decision happens quickly because the becoming didn't.
Maybe you've been collecting tiny pieces of information for years.
Every time something felt wrong.
Every time you thought, I don't want to keep doing this.
Every time you caught yourself imagining another version of your life.
Every time something that used to fit started feeling a little tighter.
Nothing dramatic happened that day.
But something was happening.
You were changing.
And eventually, all those tiny realizations reach a tipping point.
What looks like an abrupt decision might actually be the visible moment of a transformation that's been happening quietly for a very long time.
We tend to trust slow change more.
It seems responsible. Thoughtful. Sensible.
But your internal timeline doesn't owe anyone an externally appropriate waiting period.
Sometimes you're ready when you're ready.
And once you see that something no longer belongs in your life, it can become surprisingly difficult to unsee it.
You don't have to deliberately slow yourself down just to make your growth look more reasonable from the outside.
Your life is allowed to change quickly.
Especially when you haven't.
A gentle prompt
What have I already outgrown that I'm still treating like a permanent part of my life?
Don't immediately decide what to do about it.
Just tell yourself the truth about whether it still fits.
Before I go...
Not every sudden change is impulsive.
Sometimes it's simply the moment your outside life finally catches up with who you've already become.
See you next Sunday,
Bex
